• Hi

Forum signitures - not here though, but on many business forums this is ok. I think you will find that you will get genuine interest. I can recommend teneric.co.uk/forums, ukbusinessforums.co.uk also aardvarkbusiness.net/chat/

they are all UK based and have large communities of professional business people, start ups etc. Become a regular poster at the above three and in time you may get some good work coming from these sources. Set yourself up as an expert in what you do and people will want to employ your services.

• I'm in the same position (money's tight!)and have managed to find some sites where I can list my business for free (just a basic listing, there are costs for advanced ones).
Check them out:
https://www.mylocalservices.co.uk
https://www.askyourneighbour.co.uk
https://www.uksmallbusinessdirectory.co.uk (they will list you if you have a website)
https://www.startupcommunity.co.uk (you have to join them - it's free at the moment - for life!!! - then you can list your business there, too. Also some useful information there)
https://www.vcommunity.org.uk (another one to join free and to list your business, except they did some work to the website and at the moment it seems a bit funny)

ADVERTISING

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: Sorry, this site is free of advertising and we ask people not to advertise their own services/websites/ebay sales (please see this rule). I have asked Board Guides to move any they see. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

It was somebody's reply on Wednesday and it's been removed.

Yes the thread in question was deleted (thanks optimist), I posted the message just to let the poster of the advertising know the site rules.

All the other post are fine and it wasn't directed at them

Can you list your services on Googlebase? What about Google adwords. If you research your keywords then this can be cheap.

I have been advertising my site by posting on forums that allow my link in my signature.
