is it possible to use a computer monitor with a freeview box instead of a tv ???? sorry if this is a stupid question and if i can what would i need to do it

Scart to vga adapters seem to be quite cheap on eBay. That should get you the picture. You would also need a suitable audio cable depending on the outputs available on your Freeview box, probably red and white phonos at one end and 3.5mm stereo at the other.
I have not tried it so don't know how successful it would be.0 -
As above, a cheap >SCART to VGA< lead will get the image on your screen.
As far as the audio goes, you'll still have to take that from the Freeview box using it's RCA connectors and send that in to an amplifier or powered speakers.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0
