Is it illegal to record people without their consent?

It's not illegal to record them. From what I've heard about what you do with the recordings, you need to tell the other person if you are planning to use it in court, but if you don't tell them and something comes up and the recordings happen to become evidence in something, they can, as per any other of your personal records, become evidence in court. But don't take my word for it.0

Do you intend you ex to sit and listen to them all???
Can't imagine any solicitor, social worker sitting through them. Pointless exercise.Debt free 4th April 2007.

Oh, no. It would work like that. What happens is ses6jwg keeps the recordings. If ex makes an accusation, he says "So when did this happen?". When a rough time is declared, he produces the recordings and says "Shall we listen to them and find out?". Ex hopefully says "perhaps not now". And that is hoped to be the end of it.I have had 3 nights per week contact with my daughter since split with ex Jan 2010. Last week all contact was ceased however I have managed to barter contact with my daughter at her grandads house. I am recording because false allegations have been made against me that I am teaching daughter bad language and encouraging her to hate her Mum etc.
If grandad cannot be trusted to be honest in your defence, then you should use a contact centre. If you have to use tape, then the venue is too acrimonious.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
