Change solicitors?

Advice please! We are FTB. Had an offer accepted on a property and the estate agents piled on the pressure to use a solicitor that they recommend. We accepted the quote and have been sent a starter pack, received Thursday. However we have not signed anything. On looking at the information the solicitor is not local and are now thinking we would rather use a different solicitor closer by. In the information it says we can cancel within 7 working days of receiving the pack. Do you think this is likely to cause problems with the sale or incur charges?
