Hitachi HDC-571EP error

My Hitachi HDC-571EP camera has a SD card in it and whenever i turn on my camera it comes up as "Protected Card" and wont let me take any pictures, could someone please help me!!!??

Has the card got a switch on there. If so it may have made the card read only which would probably give you that message. have a look on the SD card.
What about if you try on a PC or laptop, do you get similar problems?
if its not a switch then my suggestion would be to pop the card into a PC, copy the pictures over (if there are any) then format the card (right click the card and there should be an option to format it) and try in your camera again.
That should hopefully do the trick.0 -
Move the switch on the SD card to the unlock position.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0
