I do not own a car and have not done so for a number of years. I have been thinking about buying one recently and have been looking but I need to find out how much insurance is nowadays. I have looked on one or two sites but everytime I reach the question - Total number of cars in your household (including this one) - the answer is 0! So it doesn't let me proceed any further in my quest for insurance! Anyone any ideas please, thanks

Er .. it's presuming that you want a quote for a car, so the answer would be ONE (ie the car you want a quote for)

It means at the time your insurance starts. So answer the questions as if it's the first day of the insurance being active on a car.

So just answer '1'
"A bank* is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain."
(*Unless it's Santander. The branch says they sent you an umbrella 3 times already and don't understand why you don't have it yet and want it back right now!!!)0 -
