Help with setting up new TV

Options
Just bought a 19" TV for bedroom and trying to install. Have put the ariel lead into TV and the wall socket but no signal. Will a signal booster help or is there something wrong with wall socket. Also how much do the booster boxes cost? Thank-you

I assume youve tried to 'auto setup' but no signal was found?

Almost certainly a problem inbetween the aerial and the wall socket if thats the case
And no, a booster wouldnt help at all here

When you say look at the connections it isn't loose if this is what you mean. Or do you mean take it off the wall and see if what if anything behind the socket

Take the screws out and see if its securely connected to the aerial lead behind (Its perfectly safe)

That said ~ it IS an aerial socket yes? ~

sure the wall socket is connected to an ariel, When I moved to my house there was 2 sockets in the living room, one was connected the other was the old connection to a very local communial ariel which they had removed.

Try another aerial socket, downstairs perhaps.
    Move along, nothing to see.

Yes it says TV at the socket and the shape is the same. Thanks I was a bit frightened to take it off the wall.
