can't find land reg house price - am I going mad?

Hi all,
Just ensuring I know how to use the various wonderful sites you lot recommend and comparing them by checking the different properties OH and I have owned. However, I can't find a sale he once did. It was as a part-exchange but surely that should still have been registered?
I was just being nosy to see what they sold it on for so it's not an important question. If you've the time and inclination what could I be doing wrong?
