My PDA is not functioning properly. It was OK before I flew on holiday and now I a unable to access the menus> I have done a soft reset but am loath to do anything more drastic in case I lose all my info. Any suggestions, please.

Is it possible that the touchscreen calibration has drifted so far that you can no longer access the area where the menus are?
I can't remember now if a soft reset prompts you to recalibrate the screen, but if it didn't, you may need to Hotsynch it and then do a hard reset, calibrate the screen, then synch again to get your apps and data back onto it.0 -
One of mine (can't recall which model right now) did the same thing a while ago. I found Palm digifix sorted it out. It might not even be compatible with yours, but it's an avenue to explore.

I second the recalibration suggestion above - go into Prefs to do it IIRC, and another suggestion would be to remove any screen protector you might have fitted in case it is annoying the screen0
