Sunday Times Where Was I? competition
The prize: The winners will stay for three nights, on a B&B basis, at the Samling, a luxury hotel set in its own 67-acre estate overlooking Lake Windermere. It is a member of the von Essen Collection, and in January this year, its restaurant was awarded its first Michelin star, thanks to the work of its head chef, Nigel Mendham, and his use of fine, fresh local ingredients. Included in the prize is one à la carte dinner for two. The Samling has just 11 rooms and suites, and provides an elegant, relaxing base from which to explore the whole of the Lake District.
The prize must be taken before March 31, 2011, subject to availability and excluding public holidays.
