Halifax Extras Current Account

I see the Halifax are doing away with the Extras Current Account.
From 11th Decmeber 2006, the conditions of your Extras Current Acount will change to those of our High Interest Current Account
So no more free European travel insurance and roadside assistance.
The Halifax's slogan 'always giving you extra' should be changed it to 'always giving you less'.
The free percs were the only reason I kept the account.
Going to have a grumble at my local branch and look for another account.

It was done away with ages ago at the branches.0 -
It had stopped been offered to new customers up in till Novmeber 2004 according the letter from Halifax I received recently (sept 06)0

Because the extras did not suit everyones insurance needs0
