How long do you have to wait for you deposit from DPS?

My previous LL and I had an agreement that she could use my deposit as one month's rent, only the deposit was £30 more than the rent so I have requested this back from the DPS.
I have not heard from her since I told her I was doing this (she was expecting to get it all, plus she is terrible with communication). And the status on their site says "awaiting Landlord response." Is there a time frame where they can stop waiting for her and release it to me? I know it's only £30 but I want all ties cut with that house.

i think it is 10- days which tDPS give to the landord to respond in.. they do add on a few days for bank holidays etc...0

I think it's been quite a bit more than 10 days now but it's hard to say, my sense of time this month is seriously warped. Would the DPS just leave the money sitting there or would they give back what I requested automatically after this time?0

if the LL does not respond.. then i think you have to lodge a dispute... this then puts the whole business in the hands of the Arbiters and each side has to submit evidence to them.. Their Decision is final. Niether side has to agree to use the Dispute/Arbitration system.. even if the other side wants to. If your LL refuses to use Arbitration/Dispute resolution (ADR) then your only way foward is to take him to court and for £30... it aint worth it...0

Then I'll just take that £30 off the money I owe her already. I know it sounds bad still owing some old rent but there were a lot of things out of my control at the time which left me penniless even for food and since moving I considered my rent and bills for this place my priority which I have never defaulted on. If she stays out of communication I might get out of paying that as well. She may well have !!!!!!ed off to spain or wherever again.0
