Using a TFT as a TV

Can anyone give some advice to someone with very little technical knowhow?
I've just bought the Hann LCD 19ins monitor from Amazon that was on the Grabbit board but I'm wondering if I've cocked up.
The only think I want it for is a cheap way of getting a flat TV into my bedroom.
I've got a cheap Dell laptop which I could theoretically rig up to it but I don't know if it has the required graphics card capability.
Is this whole idea a non-starter? If not, what do I need to make it work? Digital receiver? VGA Box? Is so, any recommendations?
Or should I give this up before I get the screen out of the box?

All you need is a spare usb
The one that is reviewed doesn't get a great write up. But there are loads of different makes available. Try PcworldYou can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.0 -
Would this work without a graphics card in my laptop?
Also, don't I need a VGA Box, whatever one of those is, as well?0 -
Yes -- you should have no issues.
Just have a decent TV aerial connection.0
