Help with laptop

Wen i close my laptop (not turn it off..wen i say close i mean without exiting any page i just close the laptop) and open it again i dont get any response from the laptop..it doesnt return to its previous state. i dont know whats happened to it now but a few months ago i woulda done the same things and gotten to the screen i left it at before closing it.


Help please?

Is it going into standby? Usually indicated by power light slowly flashing. You might have to press power button to come out of standby

I actually think you are closing the lid, and leaving the machine running, after a set amount of time the hard disks suspend and the machine is going into hibernation mode or system standby.

does it behave itself when you turn it off normally?

i think it is going on standby. when i press the power button it shutes it self down but nothing comes up

i do close the lid and leave it running so that i can get back to it after 5 mins ...i dont leave the lid down for too long just 2 minutes or so..it turns off fine
