Obviously you'll just sign-on on Tuesday...

If your jobcentre is closed on a bank holiday and you are due to sign that day, you are excused your signing for that week/fortnight. If you are due a payment, it is usually sent out early be it to your bank, post office account or by giro. In other words, you do not need to sign that day, just go in on the following date you are due to sign. All jobcenters are shut on Monday 30th Aug, I know, I work there!

Hi Julia, seeing as though you work for the jobcentre was just wondering if you could tell me what happens at the A4E modules the jobcentre send you on? Not meaning to hijack this thread, so if you can could you possibly answer my question this thread?

    Incorrect.

OP you will sign on the next day you are meant to go (so in 2 weeks, or next week if on weekly signings) and you will get your money on Thursday as normal.

    Hope this helps.

Not sure about the A4E modules... I'm Scotland so I think its works a bit different than England...

If you are still not sure try ringing the jobcentre in the morning before your appointment. If they are open you have your answer. If not they should have a message on their answerphone telling you what to do.
