January holiday ideas please

We, 2 adults early 40s, need help picking a holiday.

We want to get some winter sun & have booked 2 weeks off work at the end of january. We can't decide where to go, any ideas please?

We don't need lively clubs or bars but do need a couple of bars. We're happy to lie on the beech but need a couple of trips or places to visit.

We can do any board basis & have about £750 each to spend.Last Sept we paid about that for AI in Sharm, but have been there twice no & fancy a change.

Any help greatfully received.

Goa, Apply for Visa early, unless you find an amazing charter deal (very very unlikley) go via Mumbai or Doha and sort out accom online for a couple of nights then the rest when you are there. £500 max for flights + 14 x £10 Should fit the budget no probs ever for a first trip without trying. Much less is possible.

    Thanks everyone.
We did think of Gambia as friends have been.
I like the Goa idea, do you have web site addresses for accomodation? We've not travelled like that before.A bit spoilt by AI hotels & wouldn't know where to start?
