Hello all, Is there a problem with the visa debit card from the Co-Op? I tried to pay for some petrol at pump today at ASDA but the card was rejected after I had put my pin number in.
I did my DRO this year so not got alot of accounts open to me.
Any help would be great, thanks Nut.

has it ever worked at the pay at pump? i was under the impression the coop cashminder doesn't work at pay at pump so i've never tried it
my cashminder got turned down inside tesco a few weeks back (funds were there), think it was a blip in their system though0 -
There are loads of threads about the coop card if you search for them.:pB&SC No. 298

Don't normally pay at the pump but was in my car and was running low and noticed they had petrol at 110.9 so went to fill up.
Will have to try and get a back up account with natwest or such like.

Barclays should take you on. Co op Visa debit only works in chip and pin machines which physically contact the bank at the time of purchase, pay at the pump doesn`t do that. The petrol sounds cheap, can you draw cash out and pay at the till?? Fuel is around £1.19 where I am0

petrol is 110.9 here too

Unfortunately it is a un-maned station0 -
Try a pre loaded mastercard ?? Its like a credit card but you transfer money to the account from your bank account, I think that you can do this at pay points which are found in most newsagents and places like that. No staff to pay, hence cheaper fuel I think!0

You still have a monthly fee to pay to the CC company.:pB&SC No. 298
