Had a look at the 3008, great boot space/configuration and toys on the top spec model.
Not 100% sure about the front pax cabin the high center consol make you feel a bit cramped but massive storage options
That cheap £12k one was a cat d insurance job, front wing/light/bumper so would need a decent checkover and probably need to be a cradle to grave purchase.
Too new for there to be any in the price range this year.
Still to sort out the Octavia specs in my head nothing local to look at yet.
Plenty of vectras with prices in range.0 -
Has no one mentioned the Mondeo ?0

Still looking, other things are taking priority.
Like the jag x-type and the Octavia estates.
We are very different in size so seat adjustments have been an issue, this will be resolved with electric memory seats which is limiting availability choice across all models.0 -

Either the 3 or 6. Great cars, really reliable and still fun to drive!
A Mazda 3 2.3 MPS (The 250 bhp model:eek:), on a 58 plate, with 19K miles went through a local auction for £9.5K. It was spotless and sounded really good.
The biggest bargain as far as I could see was an 07 plate Citroen C4 with 30K miles, in immaculate condition for £2900 (plus £200 commission).
Who needs to spend £10K on a second hand car?0 -
Another vote for the Octavia, great cars, brilliant value0

Actualy went to an auction yesterday, a few part ex from main dealers looked good on price,
A few had near FULL MOTs and some very low mileage older cars.0
