pennib - Great mini monkeys!!!!!!!!! They really are lovely :)

esmer - oh dear... I felt like that yesterday, had so much to do and still a couple of last minute bakes to get done :( back on track now though - more shortbread and diabetic flapjack cookies this afternoon and I'm all done!

Why so cold in the kitchen??? I'm in Hampshire and it's around -2 outside so it's not too bad.... I know that some parts of the country are much colder though....

    Your shortbread looks lovely :)

It was -12 here this morning when defrosting the car. When driving back it was -9. Think it was -18 during the night.

Bit of snow this morning but seems to be going a bit now.........expect it'll freeze any time now.........bright blue sky and sunshine.......deceiving.........looks lovely but really cold.

Been sorting through stuff ready to hand out.....done a brownie mix in a jar for neighbour and a couple of reindeer covered choccy bars for her daughters.......just a 'token' to say 'thankyou for being such a good neighbour.
Popped them in a little basket then hunted for the cards I'm made them.........well could I find them -no way  Pre-christmas panic really set in.......had all my craft drawers out, looked in the most stupid places I'd never have put them...........almost gave up and thought I'd have to make some more then moved something and there they were :rotfl: Stupid me !! Oh I do hate this part of it all.......be glad when I've given all the stuff out now. Seems there are boxes everywhere and I always have a panic about now.............lol:rotfl:
Does anyone else make things and lose them ? I've done the same with little things I've made......smaller they are the easier they get lost.
Normally find them in the end but what a carry on.
Lack of brain being organised I think:rotfl:

Love all the things you've made............did some of those flavoured coffees the other year.............gave them to son and his girlfriend but didn't get any 'feedback' so whether they liked them I'm not sure.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • me again:o

on the topic of what will happen to the thread once christmas is over?

I wondered if Gingerandrhubarb (original OP) would start a challenge handmade in 2011 thread, just a general handmade crafts thread, any sorts of crafts/gifts/makes to keep us all going & in one place, until we start making out christmas gifts again in July:eek::eek::eek::eek::rotfl:

my first make i have planned, is a gift for meeeeeeeeeeee
been making for everyone else, so its my turn:D
i want a nice garland for the kitchen, to perhaps hang along the dresser, so i think once the holidays have died down i shall make a start!
