I have just bought a laptop with the following specs;
Graphics : 1 GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
English Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 BIT)
4096MB (2x2048) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel
Hard Drive : 500GB Serial ATA (7200RPM)
0
English Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium (64 BIT)
Wireless : European Intel Wireless LAN 6200 2x2 (802.11a/b/g/n) Card
Optical Drive : 8X DVD+/-RW Drive including Roxio Burn software
6 cell 56W HR LI-ION Battery
Intel i7-720QM(1.6GHz)
Display : 15.6in High Definition (1366X768) WLED
Wireless Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth
Camera : Integrated 2.0 Mega Pixel Camera - N-Series only
I was wondering if people think I should expand the Ram to 6 or 8 gig, and how much this would cost?
Also, I have read this graphics chip isnt up to much, how bad is it?
It cost me £559, is that a good price?

Completely and utterly pointless upgrading the RAM. Unless you're going to be doing top end 3D gaming at high resolution, there's nothing wrong with the graphics card.0 -
For info on the low end graphics look here
Don't be too disappointed, you can't have megga graphics in a lappie / notebook with only 12-15 Watts. It's a trade of twixt power / heat / dB and performance.
The spec on the machine is ok, the on chip DX11 will play most stuff but at a lower res. It would have helped us if you had stated the Model number of the DELL in #1
