controlled zone

Hi
My Hubby got a PCN for parking under a controlled zone sign, he was parked on double yellow lines. We have a picture to prove that he is under the sign and on the yellow lines but he was parked after the signs stated time, and the PCN ticket also proves that. We appealed against the PCN but the appeal was rejected because he was parked on the yellow lines. I have tried looking it up but it's not very clear. Can anybody help.

Double yellows apply all the time and don't need a time plate.

A CPZ covers single yellows, to put it fairly simply.

    Was he loading/unloading or disabled?

If not then post a pic of the front & back of the PCN on pepeipoo.com forums to see if they can see a flaw in the paperwork to give you grounds for appeal:

  • Was the PCN affixed to the vehicle or was it a postal PCN? Also what Council? A link to the location on google streetview may help as well.
