I haven't made the puddings yet but it took 2 days to make the main meals :eek:Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

£5.46 spent in Tesco at the weekend. I'm doing really well this month, as I'm still really well stocked up, so I shouldn't have to do much shopping before the end of the month. I will need to get some more minced beef, cheese, and milk by the end of the week, but can't think of anything else that I need at the moment.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

£28.79 to add today
£7.18 at the pet shop for our menagerie of pets food and £21.61 for human food which included loads of whoopsies.
I think I may have made a friend of the new bloke behind the fish counter he let me know what he was reducing soon and offered to save me what I wanted till I went back to the counter. (first time that's ever happened!)
As well as the salmon and haddock I got reduced lettuce, pork chops, 2 pork joints at £1.50, pork mince at 60p and a few other bits and bobs as well as the small shopping list I had for this week.Grocery challenge Jan 270.27/200:eek:

£7.48 top-up shop at Mr M's and £10.45 at Framfuds today. Still well within my budget (only cos we've not actually got the budget!!) and I will need to do a (quite big) shop on Thursday when wages come in. Then there's one weekly shop left after that till the end of the month.
It's felt like a very loooooong month!DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt
August GC £0/£3000 -
Morning all.
Thank you cw18 - I will try steaming the next lot of spuds - I have to say I'm a bit tired of mushy potato even though I know it's healthy!
Just bought a few things yesterday, crisps and flavoured water for DD1's trip to London to sketch buildings for Art, more £1 r*chmond sausages (now got quite a stockpile) soy sauce, and £1 chicken dippers (Mr T).
Also some own brand female monthly products from B*ots which they're selling at 2 for £1.50 at the moment. This is even cheaper than alw*ys at T's which are 3 for £3 though the B*ots one's are as yet untested (!!). Good price though so worth a try!
Dinner will be sweet and sour pork from the front page and the kids are having spag bol.- the freezer emptying has begun!
Have a good day everybody.
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
katholicos - that's an amazing amount of Cooking, your Mum will be so grateful to have you around at the moment.:A
Still trying to keep any spends this week to a bare minimum so Dinner tonight will be HM Lasagne as we have some Mince in already, cheese and have plenty of Tomatoes ripening to make sauce. Pudding will be HM Lemon meringue pie as I have 2 lemons left over from last weeks Xmas baking.;)
Tomorrow I'm planning to make Bacon & Onion pud from weezl74's thread. Not planned past that as I need to check out what's left in Cupboards and freezer. This means that I should only need to buy milk and fruit. Will need to put BM on later but have plenty of Bread flour in stock.
Have a good day everyone and good luck with your Targets.:D"WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!"GC for OH, myself, DD18 & DD16 includes Toiletries, cleaning stuff & Food.

Okay - I've added up my spends and here is the damage:
£1.95 in C*stcutter
£2.77 in Mr S
£2.11 in Mr T
then:
£13.20 in Pub 1
£13.60 in Pub 2
£25 in Pub 3 (leaving drinks)
= £6.83 for groceries + £51.80 for entertainment!!!
See what I mean about my grocery budget not actually being that bad!

kathilicos that is so thoughtful (and hardworking). Well done you.
We spent £9.50 last night in the coo p. It would have been more but we had share of the profits vouchers worth £4. Just milk, butter, lots of sugar, toilet roll, frozen fish and lots of free range eggs. Should last us till the end of the week - we have a fridge full of fruit and veg from our allotment, family's gardens and the wild. Made three bottles of sloe gin last night and pickled a load of beetroot on Sunday.
I am getting ridiculously close to the montly target (and I was hoping to save some towards a meat box this month). Good luck everyone! We are nearly there.Grocery Challenge £114.22/ £1100 -

I have one within walking distance, but when I went to join (assuming it would be like getting a T or S card) they were asking for everything except my shoe size and I seemed to be signing up to involvement in the whole organisation.0
