My first 2 orders with them were so wrong it was unbelievable (and I don't allow substitutes) then for about 8 months, they were bang on, but the last two have had mistakes on again. My last order with them was the smallest one I've ever placed with them - I mean, how difficult can it be to pick an order fgs?!
I can't afford to shop at $ainsburys or Waitro$e, but are Te$cos any better I wonder, as I've seen posts on here moaning about them too?notjustlaura wrote: »You can do it, Hippeechiq!Aug11 £193.29/£240

Xmas 2011 Fund £2200 -
Evening All, Just popped in to update spends and catch up on thread.
Done plenty of stocking up over the last week, and got some items put away for xmas;).
I have been adjusting signature as I go.
Would like to declare at £1270.85/£1800 so far for annual challenge.
I have worked out that on average we have spent roughly £141 per month so far. Am expecting this average to be lower by the end of the year as we have plenty of supplies.
See you all on the October Challenge

I'm declaring £141.07 for September so a bit over the £130 budget but that was down to bad planning on my part I think:o
I'm still up for another go though so I'll try for £130 again in October. Will have a Tesco delivery tomorrow which was £43.88 including delivery but with a £10 voucher code. Got all my meat and a few other bits like squash and sauces, so pretty good start so far0 -
Today i have made pizza and chocolate cake so there's no need for buying groceries today but tomorrow i will be taking my mother grocery shopping and needless to say i will probably buy some goods while at the supermarket. Today has been a no spend day and i only needed one more to reach my target of 14 NSD'd but it won't happen with tomorrow now being a spend day.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Wow! I'm changing my weekly shopping time to wednesday evening - that was the best whoopsie haul for a long time. Last weekly shop of the month came to £29.34, with £3.99 multi-savings. Whoopsies included a whole watermelon for 45p, a big tub of deli cheese coleslaw for 49p, 3 X 6 packs of Activia probiotic drink at 9p each:j Plus the guy at the till couldn't get a coulpe of the stickers to scan so he GAVE me a Toy Story 3 cake and a loaf of bread!!
I'm declaring at £212.91 for September. That's £17.09 under budget.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Okies, seeing as my internet has been awol for a few days I have a few bits to catch up.. spent £27.67 in Mr S on Monday --- ouch but did stock up on IAMS for the cat as it was on offer and some store cupboard bits.
Then went to Mr A today (primarily to take mum I did not need anything) but somehow managed to spend £5.91 on Groceries. (Not counting the £9 I spent on books and my niece). TBH all my asda buys bar some marshmallows I just NEEDED :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: where whoopsies so not toooooo bad.
End of the month declaration is...
£74.52/£80.00:j
Not bad for my first try but a bit poor considering I had some shopping bought for me which I didn't factor in. More planning for Oct I think and same target xGC 2011

Hi All,
Absolutely marvellous results coming in - too many for me to name individually but you know who you areso very very well done. :T:T:T
:grouphug:to anyone feeling under the weather. I think it must be kids going back to school, teens going to college and adults returning to work after hols that means the bugs are spread wider so we are all suffering.
Well, I got a couple of bits yesterday but didn't have to get milk. DD and family have decided they prefer OH's bread and butter to mineand so requested a whole one for themselves. Consequently she bought us 4 pts of milk. :T
So, just £5.44 left but I don't think we'll need anything else tomorrow. Hopefully going to scrape in by the skin of my teeth. Still won't declare though until tomorrow is over. Got another NSD today so up to 15 so far and hope for another tomorrow.
I'm slightly concerned that this will be our lowest NSD total since starting but I think it was due to the hellish start to the month and getting odds and sods when going to the hospital etc. A bit of comfort buying if you like.
OH is still off work but hopes to return shortly and I'm sure that will have an effect on both shopping habit and the amount we need 'cos he's at home all day. We'll see come October.
I haven't posted over on October yet as I want to finish this month first. I have though put my Oct budget and the spend on the wash liquid last week into my sig which is fully up to date. I've altered the toiletries bit of my signature as the site said I had too many characters, my stash is just about used up now with no duplicates (with exception of sun lotion) in it and I think I've more or less beaten that particular addiction now.
Right off to have a read again of October and I'll declare tomorrow night.
Take care all,
SpigsMortgage Free October 2013 :T0 -
Can I declare £191.27 for September, I have been on a mission and written shopping lists, priced on line and stuck to my list. It hasn't been easy but it has felt sooooo liberating. hope I can stick with it now. Good luck everyone.I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0

OK, so I did my shop at Lidl's today and spent £14.83 - of which £6 was for a case of 24 Pepsi Max - far more than I needed but such a good price. I also bought two Panettone for Christmas so it was actually more, but Panettone absolutely do not come out of any grocery budget - I just have standing instructions to buy them whenever I see them :rotfl:
I wondered whether to buy squash and didn't - and of course, when I got home I found DS has drunk his way through the squash I had hidden in my back-up cupboard PLUS he has drunk all the orange juice and apple juice in the house, so I was going to declare today, but I need one more trip - should still be in budget I hope! I haven't got used to him yet as he has hardly been here all through the summer holidays and he is the only person in the house who doesn't drink tea or coffee. Consequently squash and juice have lasted very well for the last three months (he's been "on holiday" since his exams ended beginning June) and I'd forgotten just how much he gets through  To be fair, he will drink water and it's not as if he puts half a gallon of squash in his glass - he just always has been very thirsty. We were talking tonight about how he will manage at university - he'll need to budget for all these drinks, methinks...0
