Private Bidder question

Am watching a Quad Bike Seller on Ebay with a view to maybe buying from him.
The first bike sold on 17 September, had 21 bids from about 6 or 7 people, all ID's visible, x 1 private f/b.
Second bike unsold with 6 bids 14 - 19 Sept, with 'Private Listing, Bidders ID Protected' on each bid.
Third bike finishes on 26 September, has 2 bids so far, both are ' Private Listing, Bidders ID Protected'.
Sellers feedback good, a few negs but nothing very recent and negs imply any probs sorted immediately on the whole.
What's the general concensus of opinion on this, would I be advised to look elsewhere or is bidding with protected ID quite normal to Ebay.
Thank's in advance :A
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;and listen to others, even to the dull and ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and agressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit
