going to have to move out of our house for 1-2 months whilst builders move in...so trying to find somewhere to go. Does anyone have any suggestions for websites/agents to look at (given that i don't want a 'corporate' let at hotel prices for that length of time!)
thanks

Look further out than Leeds and stay in a mobile home?
Put a tent up in your garden/ buy a cheap caravan?
Try local B&B for a preferential rate (likely to be much lower than hotal chains)?
Friends with spare room?
The problem with short term lets is that althugh you can have an Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) agreement for any length, the LL is at a disadvantage.
If you refused to move out after the two months. s/he is unable to issue a s21 Notice of Intent to repossess the property in the first 6 months.
The only other alternative is that, if they have previously lived at the property themselves, they let to you on standard assured tenancy agreement and they can pre-serve you with notice that they intend to resume occupation of the property themselves after the 2 months is up.If you don't then move they can proceed straight to court for eviction .0
