Being threatened on Ebay. Please help, urgent. (Now sorted).

I sold a broken Iphone on ebay this week.
The item was for delivery by RM within three days.
I did not specifically say that I would not accept Pick up, I did not specifically say that I would not accept cash!
The buyer got quite intimidating towards me through the messaging system wanting to come to my house to pick the item up.
I refused immediately. It has now been the four days and I have opened an Unpaid case dispute. They have just emailed me saying that if I don't close the case in the next 90 minutes they will intentionally pay for the item and leave negative feedback.
I have tried to speak to someone on ebay chat but they have not really helped.
Should I just give in to the buyer and close the item (and lose my fee)? Or is there another way around this?

Was there a particular reason that you did not want the buyer to pick the item up and pay you cash.?
It did not necessarily hav to be at your home.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
If it's been 4 days you can close the case anyway and you will get your final value fees back. Check its been that then you can do it and the buyer will get a strike.

If it's been under 4 days ignore them if they leave a neg you have evidence that will get it removed. If they threaten you inform the police.0 -

I do not want any stranger coming to my house. I also don't want to do it in the middle of a car park - I am not sure I would be able to tell whether they have just given me an envelope full of fake notes.
Also, what happens if it ends up being her and her three 6 foot 18 stone brothers against me?
Also, what's to stop them then complaining that they never received their item later?0 -

Thanks. I just did this. I think I now have to wait for them to agree to the cancellation of the sale. Then I can get on with my life.0 -

I am a bit confused??
In your opening post you stated that you had started an unpaid item dispute. It then seems that you have tried to close that dispute as 4 days have passed - yet now you are waiting on a mutual cancellation?
Did you close the dispute or change the dispute to a mutial cancellation?0 -

I'm confused also you've not asked for a mutual cancellation have you. If so and he refuses you will lose your final value fees.
Also I don't think you can change it to a mutual? Though I could be wrong
It's fair enough not wanting people coming to your house. I don't do pickup for this reason. I just don;t like strangers coming to my house. Lot's of people don't confused why you find that strange.McKneff wrote:What if, What if, I know this forums are for advice so Im not jugging you but stop worrying about what might happen.............0 -

But she has only just opened the case. She says its been 4 days since sale.0 -

I don't like it either so no I don't think it's strange, especially in todays world.0 -

Right I get that now - but when Cyberbob said if it's been 4 days you can close the dispute...They come back with ..."Thanks. I just did this. I think I now have to wait for them to agree to the cancellation of the sale"
Yet in the OP they stated they had started an UID?
OP - Did you start a UID or a mutual withdrawal....if it is the latter then I can't see them agreeing to it and you have left yourself open to a neg which is non removable (unless they mess up their comment). You should have started a UID then you would have got back your fee's and they couldn't neg you....:(0
