Heard this song today.....its well known in the dance mania circles, by Infernal, titled "From Paris to Berlin" it became immediately adaptable...
It goes
From Paris to Berlin every Disco i go in, my heart is pumping for love, pumping for love
It should go
From John O groats down to Lands end, every Tesco I go in, my heart is pumping for Love, pumping for love................
it goes on to mention control(or is it console) My heart is pumping for love.....
Unfortunately this will be my last post for a while, as I'm away for a month in Poland.....buying a house and starting to build another......its a bit of a remote area, so may have to rely on internet cafes for my Tesco entertainment......Thanks to all those who have helped me, and I hope Ive helped lots of others.....If you are still here in a month......I'll be back.....0 -

CDR1122 wrote:Thats a good point, Can you buy shares in Tesco? In Which case you should buy 1 share, get invited to the next corporate meeting, and stand up infront of the Managing Directors and state your point.. you got banned from one of their stores for following their own policy!
Yes you can buy shares in tesco.
Go here
https://www.advfn.com
in the box that says quick quote type in : TSCO and hit enter, doesn't matter if in caps or not.
your looking for two prices, the "bid" and "offer"
offer is price u can buy for, bid is price you can sell back for,
don't forget to allow for your broker fee to buy ( about £10) and the 0.5% stamp duty to everyones friend Gordon Brown.
So on todays closing price it would look like this :
100 shares @ £366.50 per share = £366.50 * 0.5% = £1.83 + = £368.33 + £10 (broker) = £378.33. When you sell the shares the broker will charge you another tenner or so, no stamp duty to pay on the sell side.
If you wanted to sell your 100 shares you would need the bid price to move up to £3.88 to break even, but in my experience, if you hold the shares for a while the dividend will cover your dealing fee's.
If your buying the shares just so that T can't ban you from their stores..i'd bet money that their legal team could find an angle.
As for making an investment into Tesco plc..on paper it looks like a good bet
( i'm not qualified to give investment advice).
This may sound a bit strange given that i'm posting on the rr thread, BUT
from an ethical stand point, it totally sucks, which is why i'm going to sell my shares.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
