look out for PS2 games stickered 13.97 each or 2 4 £25, picked up 2
farenhiet scanned at 34.99!! and Narnia scanned 14.99.
49.98 full R&R , had to give a bit of a prompt as CS seemed to be suffering from brief case of amnesia! No probs then. They dont half go a funny colour of red when you remind them.......
Thanks for the tip
Just one question, you mentioned that there were likely to be a number of mispriced games, I was thinking of putting a few in my basket tomorrow (no scanners in my local stores) but I am sure I read that they won't refund on PS games (due to piracy) is that correct?0 -

If you buy a PS game does it make you more likely to don an eye patch, raise the jolly roger and set sail to plunder the high seas ?
Or if you refund the game ...
Ah Ahh me hearties ......:rolleyes:0 -

I think if you have not left the shop with them they would refund.
The scanner in the shop I was in today was broken (surprise surprise)
but the prices just did not look right so i chanced it and Bingo!0 -
As per my earlier thread, I just popped to the local Tesco Express and took 2 packs of the home made burgers to the self service check out. They were advertised as 2 for £3 and came in at full price of £3.76. I paid for them and then took them to a guy at the check out. He looked like the manager or something as he was the only one with a suit on.
I told him I had been overcharged and he offered me the 76p difference, so i brought his attention to the R&R policy, at which point he told me the self service till didn't pick up the deals like that. I told him it did as i used it often and had never had that problem, but still he refused.
After 3 more minutes and some angry queuers I just took a full refund without the burgers. I will be writing to Tesco though, as the guy was clearly lying to get out of the refund.0 -

He was clearly lying
And i bet they weren't made at the home of anybody who works in that store :rolleyes:0 -

Anyway I know what we do isnt illegal buying stuff getting over charged ect.
But should someone say a TV personality receive a letter or other contact from a solicitor acting upon say a large supermarket chain telling them that there is a problem with somthing mentioned on a website that he runs/owns/pays for ect and that they intend to take action unless somthing is done about it then it wouls be stupid for said TV personality to leave the problem on his website untill he has had the opertunity to make the nessesery enquireries to see what could come out of the situation.
an example
If you received a letter telling you that you were doing somthig wrong and telling you that they would take action to get it sorted out. would you continue to do it or not do it untill you found out if you were doing somthing wrong?
If you continued to do it and it was wrong you could be in more trouble for not acting as soon as you found out you could be in the wrong.
I hope that last bit makes sence.
However, we are not talking about just some TV personallity when we talk about this site. We are talking about Martin Lewis and the big corps have to be a bit more careful what they say to him. Lets be honest and cut through the crud. If they threatened him and he disagreed then I am sure he would probably drop the thread but make sure every man and his dog knew exactly what was going on. That he would make sure he told everyone in the country via TV how to actively find an R&R and it was something Tesco used to have Mrs Scales doing in an advert. I am sure he would make sure everyone in the country knew exactly where they stood on the returns policy if they had bought something that was at the right price but later they decided they no longer wanted it.
Basically, what I mean is I agree 100% with you LJ, but I certainly wouldn't want to be in the persons shoes who decided to do it!0 -

Was banned from my Tesco store today when I went in to pick up my Xbox refund.
Don't see what you could sue them for, it's Tesco's property, so it's their choice who they do and don't allow in.
I accept their decision, if they have decided that they need to ban the customers who are aware of Tesco policy, then that is their choice. But if EVERYBODY started checking their receipts, I'd imagine the shareholders would have something to say about 50% of the UK being banned!! And instead they might just concentrate on getting their price integrity up to scratch.0 -

Thats a good point, Can you buy shares in Tesco? In Which case you should buy 1 share, get invited to the next corporate meeting, and stand up infront of the Managing Directors and state your point.. you got banned from one of their stores for following their own policy!0 -
today i got £20 worth of Pork Chops at lunchtime, full R & R , then went to another store this evening and got £28 worth of Rump Steak. Also spotted wine SEL £2.99 scanning at £3.99. Picked up 8 bottles. Didn't realise the other 7 bottles were different and went through at 2.99. went to CS and said had picked wrong ones up and wanted a refund. She took barcode for 3.99 bottle and multiplied it by eight taking off 5% for multibuy or something, so got back 3.60 for 8 bottles which were 2.99, but she only took 6 bottles off me, which were in the box thing and forgot to ask for other 2. Full R & R on all steak.0
