Hi
I am sorry that this will be a long post but i need some advice as this is a totally new situation for me.
I have been off work since the end of March with a slipped disc in my back and although it has improved a lot (I had hoped to be back at work next week) the HR consultant doctor has advised against going back. I have received a letter from HR stating that they can no longer pay SSP from September 29th and also a letter from my boss reporting that full pay ends 30th August but I will get half pay until 26th April 2011.
I have finally got through to WFT/CTC people and they state that I may now be entitled to WFTC as this was previously stopped due to an overpayment. But it would only be paid for a month as from the 29th September they have to remove my work details although I am and will remain still employed.
Will I be able to claim any help even though I am on half salary? Unfortunately this amount will not cover my outgoings so will need to speak to my mortgage company. I dont know where to go to hand in the form from my employer - possibly the job centre?
Typical that this happens on a bank holiday weekend so will need to wait until Tuesday to talk to anyone...
I have one teenager at home - at college doing her A levels and one starting his second year at Uni.
Many thanks

Hi
I have now been to the GP and he advised that I can start work again next week with some admendments. HR doctor also advised that I can work with adjustments and DDA would apply to my working environment/conditions.
It is unlikely that work will be able to put these in place that quickly so I dont know whether to continue to try for benefits as per my previous post (SSP has now stopped from my employer - now on half pay)
I would be grateful for any advise.
Thanks
