i think that both of these prices are extreme. I can understand that you are looking for piece of mind however these days i think piece of mind comes from the appliance manufacturer and not so much the installer. british gas have charge you a huge amount for a boiler that costs them 975.00 inc flue and guarantee. i would seriously suggest you have a look at what a local installer could install it for especially as the radiator would cost quite allot too.

Northern gas heating will guarantee the plastic pipework alone and not any craftsmenship. if you have any problems with northern gas heating then please get in touch i have a list of 01902 numbers that you can get straight through on. i would seriously consider doing a few google searches on ng reviews you may be in for quite a shock. plastic pipework is only good if every piece of copper is replaced as you can have problems when the two different types of pipework are connected. you may want to check the type of boiler that ng are quoting for.

Reading back to this makes my quote of £5100 (ex VAT)reasonable. Its for a new WB 37 CDi & clock & flue, 5 new radiators, 2 heated towel rails, supply water to bathroom & ensuite, 1 power shower, plumbing for washing machine & dishwasher & kitchen sink & the utility room (a far distance fromt he boiler on the other side of the house).

Its the VAT on it that makes me sick!!!:eek:
