I genuinely don't think it I could ever see it as anything other than, at best, unhelpful, having had EDNOS in the past. Given the context of the OP's clarification, that it was an offhand comment he has now been held to, I am less inclined to be ."All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -
Firstly, WELL DONE zcrat on your weight loss! You sound so full of life and I really hope you manage to keep the weight off. Does your dad have another spare £1000 if I lost weight???? :rotfl:
Secondly, Magpye, we have no idea how the relationship with the OP and her dad works. She does not sound upset and it was so obviously the thing that set her towards success. How can that in any way be a bad thing? *sighs*0 -
Hi
I would spend it or at least some of it on something nice for me and my dad and anyone else who had supported me 100% as a way of saying thanks.
:T Welll done and I hope you can keep it off, maybe you could save £1,000 up yourself along the way to keep motivatedand.
Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.

What a fab incentive!
For my sisters wedding my Mum and I went to one of those personal shoppers at Debenhams, I was asking her what sort of people she sees and she said mainly occassion wear but sometimes people who want a whole new wardrobe. I would highly recommend, we really enjoyed it and it doesn't cost anything and no pressure to buy.The Best Things in Life Are Free0 -
Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
Magpye - I didn't know what EDNOS was so just Googled it. I can see how in another context it could be seen as unhelpful. I hope your doing good now.
Bit scared of the idea of personal shopping - I tried it once in John Lewis when I was trying to get a dress for a smart event that I didn't really know what to wear for. The woman was so pushy I ended up buying the dress (which so did not suit the event) and then creeping round the store to check she wasn't on a till when I went to return it a couple of days later!
I might be tempted to try Debenhams tho - a couple of people have suggested it. I find their clothes a bit more reasnoble and less flashy too.0 -
What a lovely thing for your dad to do, and well done you.
I'd splash out on a decent coat, jeans, boots and bag. Get cheaper tops (i always manage to ruin tops) Perhaps a black dress and heels if you tend to go out. I'd have a nice hair cut, manicure, new makeup unless you already do all that.0
