Sainsburys Economy Range

I have to declare i am no longer the best at finding a deal.

This week a member of staff brought to my attention Sainsbury sell shower Gell for 10p and Tooth Brushes too.

I refused to purchase this as i was prepared to purchase the extravagant 61p variant from Tesco.

I conceed, i am guilty of not Money Saving and am ready to be chastised accordingly.

BTW, if so desired, you can but shower gell for 10p, enjoy.

    Hi

I always buy the 8p shower gel from asda. It does the job, gets you clean. I also use it to refill my handwash pump.
I do prefer the shower cream from morrisons though at 10p. thats lovely.
    Happy days
  • Damm you and your frugal finds.... now to google maps to locate Asda, it must be worth a 500 mile round trip :money:

Any other really really cheap deals out there? 5 p bottle of cola anyone?

Tesco actually do their own one for 10p and it is much nicer than the sainsburys one. It is a blue gel. I am allergic to a lot of soaps - this one causes no problems.

I buy the 13p pack of soap (3 soaps) from Sainsburys. Its a nice white colour and a very stylish rectangle shape - would look good in any bathroom - and as for the soap itself - well it's soap.

I thought I was tight, I buy Wright's because that's actually soap, I used to get Pears' but that's gone sh*t now.
  • i am amazed that i have started a thread others can comment on. It seems the frugal range has its supporters. Tooth brush at 10p means you can change it every 4 weeks which keeps the dentist happy. Hair conditioner at 28p has to be a con by comparison?

I use the 8p stuff from Asda. I also have some lynx for goign out pre shower as it smells better byut the 8p stuff is great for a shower after busy day at work when you just need to shower quickly. However these cheap brands are not always that great . I tried ASDA denture fix stuff and it was awful. Only lasted 4 hours so I was getting through 4 tubes a week (£2) whereas Fixodent at £1.75 does me 8 days.

Worth a good hunt round. I buy bleach at local supersavers at 2 litres fro 65p with the lemon fragrance but general use is the 12p for two litres at Asda
