I work full time & started comping last November because it was dark & the telly was shoite - I found I was staying in work longer & longer hours (unpaid overtime) & comping has made me leave work within about half an hour of my real finishing time so I have actually gained the time to do it that way - the drive home from work is now more exciting with the anticipation of what might be in the mail & OH happy as he can watch badgers mating/stars collapsing/houses getting built on telly to his hearts content now

There are things that make it easier, like the highlighted RoboForm.

I use FireFox and I have downloaded the All-in-One Sidebar and ScrapBook and use them together. It means I can save notes within the browser and to access them all I have to do is click on the far left of my screen and sidebar pops out. It is great for saving things you often need to use (like your full address for 1 field, which Roboform doesn't handle too well).

That is also very useful for entering the magazine competitions; copy the post into a note in your sidebar and it means you aren't flicking between the competition page and the answers on MSE.
:) Thank you to everyone who takes the time and effort to post competitions! :)

Same as Jujugaboo - I work full time and usually manage about 100 a day which includes 30 dailies.
The dailies I can mostly do quickly in the morning before going to work - thank goodness for the Favourites bar and roboform :D
  • I work full time, have one daughter. I recently asked the regulars in the compers inn thread how they had the time to do all the comps..it's impossible! Even if you stayed on 8 hours per day they cant all be done! I try to do at least 50 per day. I've got school hols off though, so I have done hundreds and hundreds in August! My daughter complains that I'm on the computer all the time, so I mostly enter comps with prizes that she would like. My comping does come in fits and starts tho, I tend to do so many that I get bored with it, when it's no longer fun I will lose my 'comping mojo' and will not do any for months (until a win comes through the door then it's hey! back to the board :)
    Back on it!

i work full time as a train driver but i still manage to keep on top of them, there are a few things you can do to speed things up ie roboform or autofill, and keep your name and address in a document like notepad so you can just copy and paste when entering email comps, also i dont enter every comp as some are regional, good luck

what's roboform or autofill. I use a public computer, can they be used on them? Thanks

Roboform needs to be downloaded so you wont be able to use this on a public computer....

autofill is just a setting on internet options but again if it is a public computer then you might not be able to access this setting

Besides roboform learning keyboard shortcuts can help speed things up a bit too (instead of using the mouse). Being organised in general (with bookmarks etc) helps as well.

@cagneyfan you may want to look at RoboForm2Go for USB Drives, though I have no experience of it or how it works - link

Edit: just noticed they have a new roboform online version which can apparently be used anywhere - link.

I work full time but I receive an email everyday from the forums with all the new threads in the comp section so I just enter all the ones with the prizes I actually want from that.
