I spend 2 or 3 hours each evening comping, as I work during the day, usually when the soaps start and until big brother finishes hehe
I never seem to get to check the dailys/weeklys/monthlys as i have enough on to catch up with the next days and I cant remember the last time i did more than a few pages of end of months but I do very well with wins :D some months obviously far better than others
    2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000

Thank you to everyone who posts comps xxx

I work full time split between 2 jobs one of which is term time only so have been logged on to MSE constantly through the summer, just leave the laptop on with all the things I use and dip in and out whenever I have the time, once I go back to both jobs, I will have an hour or so each evening, things is, its so addictive that I expect I will find myself getting carried away and not logging off till all hours!!

    I also have 2 kids.

I work full time and never find time to enter all the comps. For the last couple of months, I have been missing all the comps on MSE, except for a few that I have done on Likeability view (and except for the cashhunt riddle that I have wasted hours on getting nowhere). I have instead been spending what little comping time I have doing all the ones on Twitter. I have won a few small prizes that way.

  • I work full time in a long hours high pressured job, multi task whilst watching tv etc then it won't seem like it is taking over your life. Allow plenty of time for you and rather than focusing on the comps you haven't entered focus on what you have entered, and enjoy those prizes!!!!

  • I work full time and also mystery shop on the side. Always try to find time to enter competitions, whether during my lunch hour at work or at home whilst watching tv. I also highly recommend Roboform and couldn't be without it as it saves so much time. There will be the odd day or week of course whereby I don't have time to enter competitions. I'm not superwoman! I find it best to only enter the competitions where the prize is something I would like.

I work full time and have 2 young children. I actually do lots of my comping whilst I am at work, which is a bit naughty but there is a lot of internet action going on in my office :rotfl: so i dont feel guilty, whilst I am comping my colleagues (and boss!) are usually internet shopping....

I also have to do a couple of hours in the evening to keep on top of it, usually once the kids are in bed and housework is done. I do it whilst watching the soaps on sky+. A comping mothers work is never done :rotfl:
  • We both work full time and both enter competitions. We do the ones ending the following day, and as others have said, we set aside more time at the end of the month (usually a good 4-5 hours :O)

When I have spare time like a weekend free, I try to keep up with postals and check out the dailies / TAB etc, but I don't keep up with these as much as I'd like to.
    2008-2011: £23k of wins
2011 best win: my wedding ring :o
2012 best win so far: iPad 2!!!! Holiday to Austria (given to family member) :j also £100 & 2 wine cases
Thank you so much, all posters

I have only just started comping, infact its been less than two weeks, and its more the fun and fantasy for me to think "OOh what if I could win that..!" "I could give that to my sister for a present/my neice etc"

More wishfull thinking hobby time for me. I am off work currently due to maternity but my degree starts in a matter of weeks so my comping will drop then as I will place that as a priority. I enter about 30-40 I think a day ish.. ones updated on here plus a nice list of about 15 dailies. (I do those with coffee before anyone even gets up)

Rule of thumb, dont enter comps that you really don't want to win. Its just a waste of time. I dont do any of the ones that involve alot of spam. I have had three wins, a book, two pregancy tests which I think was more of a free sample, and a DVD. So as you can imagine I am incredibly pleased. :D

    Enter them for fun :)
    Wishing you all good luck!
