Quote for plastering and painting

Hi

I have had a quote for stripping off woodchip, plastering and painting 2 rooms and a hallway. The house is Victorian so tall ceilings and the living room is medium sized whilst the bedroom small-medium. The hallway is just an averagey hallway!

I have been quoted £2550 for the work which includes materials and labour which I am being told will take 2 people ten days to do. How does this sound?

I live in London

Thanks a lot!!

  • Best thing to do is break it down in stages.
1, 2-3 days to strip the wall paper off(Woodchip is an absolute !!!!!! to get off)
2, 2-3 days to skim the ceilings and walls.
    3, 2-3 days sanding down,glossing and painting.
4, 1 day patching and cleaning up.
If there supplying the materials as you say then i would say this is not a bad price at all.I'd say there probably paying themselve's about £100-120 aday for labour(which is blooming cheap for london).
