Working tax credits on self assessment

Hi all, when I fill out my first self assessment form next year from the IR, will I have to let them know on the form that I am claiming working tax credits or WTC do not have to be put down on a self assessment form, just what I am making selling on ebay. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Tax credits aren't taxable and so don't have to be declared on your tax return.
However, you may "wish" to volunarily put a note on the tax return (additional information white space box) that you are receiving tax credits - this may explain why your declared taxable income is low and may well fend off an enquiry or investigation.0 -
