hi,How do I connect a VCR to my pc to make my videos into DVDs? What wires/software will I need?

You will need a Tv card in your pc for a start.
Then its a case of attaching a lead from the card to the video.

Not wanting to step on anyone's toes, but I think there's another way (not involving a £35 cable!).

Connect VCRs composite output cables (if your VCR doesn't have these- mine didn't- buy a SCART to Composite adaptor for a quid from a poundshop) to composites on TV card on back of PC.

Software wise, you might get a prog bundled with your TV card (I did) or there is meant to be function on later Nero's to do it.

You'll record as mpeg (or whatever codec you choose) then use some sort of DVD authoring software (again, later Nero packs should do the job) to make the DVDs.

Nero has a free trial too, something like 30 days I think.
