Have just checked my Kidstart Cashback Account, thinking there was only a couple of pounds in there, and was thoroughly pleased to see an extra £22.44 has plopped in there courtesy of my parents account which is linked to it, from their hotel bookings on their recent holidays.
And a £1 referral reward from TCB, which I'm not sure where it came from, but
So £168.45 altogether so far:D:D:D
Will most likely hit a brick wall now for the month and all my chuffed-ness will disappear!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
£6.55 profit from a Play.com sale"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
"I'm feeling like a Monday but someday I'll be Saturday night" - Bon Jovi0 -
£26.40 from extra work, not as much as I'd like but this centre is further away so cost me £3 in petrol
also thought i'd got a bargain from supermarket earlier, lloyd grossman salami pizza had label on shelf of £1 (there was a stack so I assumed it wasnt just one in the wrong place) and the label seemed to match up perfectly. I was that confident I forgot to check as it was going thru the till, and of course when I got home I noticed I'd been charged the full price of £3! *useless MSE'r* lol still not bad for a pizza I guess!
I have noticed supermarkets doing this loads - I think it is a tactic. Seems to happen too often to just be slap dash shelfstacking.
The other day I was in Mr T and there was a sign under the celery saying buy two for £1 and it was only when I read the small print that I realised that referred to lettuces about two feet away in a separate box. Dodgy.0 -
So funny how the little bits and pieces add up. I came on to lament that I had only managed £1 today and then I remembered that my mum brought us some fruit yesterday, about £2 worth I reckon (they were going on holiday so wouldn't use it). I think that counts as it means we don't have to buy any so soon.
So there you go, £3 not so bad. The £1 was for a free bottle of water at a local festival we went to today - they were giving away free bottles at a stall.0 -

Hi All,
I would love to join this challange. I have been reading the post and I think it's great with lots of idea's and insperation.
My challange will be £5 a day, however I will be happy with any extra earned or saved will be a bonus.
My first job will be gathering all the change from the bottom of my handbags and in the zipped pockets. I will then start the declutter that the house has been needing for such a long time -this should bag me a few quid.
I hope it's ok to knock 5 days off my challange due to the late start.
Good Luck to everyone

Kezerb - I'd definitely count tutu money & here's hoping you get many more skinny customers in the future - they're obviously lucrative...
NikkiSue- Happy belated birthdayHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

I think sometimes the phone ones can be more nerve wrecking as most companies record phone calls. Of course most of them will never be listened back to or anything, but I worry that if I say anything that the company that want to query they might listen back! Even though I'm sure they wouldn't really. But the more nervous you are the more likely you are to stutter and stammer, which in turn makes you more and more nervous. As long as you're well practiced and have everything you need to have written down in front of you, just relax and rememberr that they will have no idea you're anything but a regular caller.
My first MS job in a fast food place, I wsa really nervous because I knew what I was doing and I was worried the staff would too.
Incedently, I think the staff did from when I asked for a receipt - I guess in that kind of place not maky people do and they know that MS'ers have to ask for one. I'd never had such golden service before!!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Wow, some people are doing really well so far, congratulations to everyone!
I signed up for a Lovefilm subscription and got £15 cashback, and yesterday we demolished an ancient fitted wardrobe in our bedroom and I found 7½p! I'm adding that to my total!September '£10 a day' challenge- £15.82.½p/£300!0
