Converting Ipod videos to AVI(XVID)

I've recently bought an Intenso Video Cruiser MP3/4 player. Whilst the MP3 side of it works a treat I can't get the videos to play at all. It did come with a video conversion programme but sadly it just crashes on my PC. I've got a lot of video clips that are on my Ipod that I want to transfer to this. It says that the videos need to be in 320x240 AVI (Xvid), but when I've tried to change them into this format using AVS Video convertor it still comes up that the file format is not supported.

Anyone know of any other way to try and transfer these files?

Sometimes the makers supply a sample video file on the cd.
Have you got one, and have you tried to play it?

There are no trial files on wither the MP3/4 player or the cd unfortunately.

Those players can be very picky about which files they play.
If you can possibly get the video conversion program that was supplied to run, that would be a start.
