Hi
I am going to be redundant in 2-3 months time. Can someone please recommend some good income protection insurance scheme?
Do I need to have policy for some time before I can make a claim or I can make claim anytime.
Many thanks

You need to have a policy before you know you're going to be redundant.
Sorry but you won't be able to take it out now to cover your forthcoming redundancy.0 -
As above says, as soon as you are aware of an impending redundancy, you will not be able to get income protection.
Even if you manage to get a policy (as some companies don't check until you try to claim), any claim you try to make will just be rejected."A bank* is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain."
(*Unless it's Santander. The branch says they sent you an umbrella 3 times already and don't understand why you don't have it yet and want it back right now!!!)0
