Hi everyone,
I am a big charity fan and generally do what i can to help, so i am trying to help a charity that is close to my heart it's CLIC Sargent (helps children with cancer and leukemia)
I have contacted them about doing a crafting for cancer fundraiser and the overall plan was to make handmade items to be sold or auctioned for the charity,
I have asked alot of Etsy shops if they have supplies (fabrics, buttons etc) or even projects that are part finished or completed if they wanted to donate them, (i would finish them)
My idea is to personally do quilts (modern heirloom quilts) and nearer the time take some to the terminal children as gifts to brighten their days, made toys, cushions, journals will also be fab,
However..... I have alot of donated things that i will upcycle, but do you have any ideas of who i can ask or contact for supplies to make these items (as it would cost me loads to do the huge amount i plan on doing myself)
Also do you have any other ideas on what could be done to raise the fundraising total? (doesn't have to be crafting, thats just the general main idea)
Any ideas would be fantastic as i really want to raise a ton of money for them (im a parent so it breaks my heart kids and babies having cancer)
Thanks you loads in advance

Are you planning on making this a long-term project so that as you finish an item you will try to sell it or are you going to accumulate enough so that you can sell at a fair or similar?
Do you want others to make and donate or just donate the raw materials?
Could you have a crafters group locally? Get others on board - worth an ad in the local library. Then you could ask for bulk supplies and use them within a reasonable time.
I do a bit of crafting when i have time and sell items at car boot sales for charity. I don't have a lot of time so can't help with the making, but will gladly send you some supplies if you pm me.Sealed Pot challenge 2011 member 1051 - aiming for £365

Hi,
I am hoping it is going to be a big enough success to be able to present CLIC Sargent with money yearly,
I have asked alot of people about joining in such as my McEtsy team from Etsy and in all honesty i live in a small town that doesn't have many crafters,
I am hoping to be able to raise money just now by doing charity nights and seling donated items, but the main focus is to do crafting for cancer, hopefully we will be able to have alot of various craft items using many differnet crafters works or part work to be able to sell them via the blog as an auction, etsy and at charity nights etc....
Hope that makes sense lol, all in all ideally it would be great if a group of crafters locally or online could add items into it so it would really be crafting for cancer, with all of those lovely handmade items could be sold and auctioned with the proceeds going to CLIC, obviousyl i realise not everyone wants to craft or donate that much time hence the request for part projects or supplies..
If you have any more suggestions that would be fab, although i'm based in Scotland it would be fab to have items from the UK and USA hence my asking alot of lovely people on Etsy and various blogs to participate. xxBlogger / Money SaverMake £2022 in 2022 Challenge - Accepted0
