Hello
I hope someone can help me, i have a Lexmark Z700 seris printer, i havent had ink in it for a while(been putting it off), so last month i brought a colour reconditioned cartridge and put it in, but it didnt work, i asumed it was the cartridge.
So today i spent £26 for a Black brand new cartridge from Ryman and its still not working, the printer act likes its printing but no ink on the paper??
Does anyone have a clue what's wrong with it? I've tried restarting the PC and taking it out, putting it back in, wiping it....

could be the printer heads blocked, does the software you have with the printer give and option for cleaning the heads?
I would use the cheaper cartridge as it will use a lot of ink.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0 -
I believe the printer head is incorporated in the cartridge, like on Hewlett Packards.
I know they are new cartridges and it is unlikely that both are blocked but you could try the trick I used on my HP cartridge when it was blocked.
Find a mug that the cartridge will fit in but not go all the way to the bottom. Put enough boiling water in the mug to cover the head of the cartridge. Leave for 10 minutes. Dry off and try printing. Repeat as necessary.
Also, have you tried cleaning the contacts in printer where the cartridges fit?
