Co-Op do a good online service.
BCSC # 9 and proud!
  • HSBC & Alliance & Leicester both work for me. A&L have the edge IMO as they pay 6% interest on current account credit balances.

to go back to theme of OP-
good day = got first pay cheque from new job (though only for 3 shifts)
DS found his 'lost' school blazer (a whole other story...)

bad day = DD left car without petrol (grrrr) so had to do unexpected £10
top up just to get to work.
Have just been out to car & someone has bashed the drivers side
    & scarpered

I run a smile account, online, and it works great for me, as I can pay in at my po when I do ebay stuff, so I am not just tempted to spend the cash.

    As for me
    Good news
I was alive the last time I checked my pulse. I have two lovely DS and 1 OH.
Bad news chuffing hate having depression. Had a real couple of can't be bothered days this week. Not good when you have to get an essay in.Sigh

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • I also feel my relationship with natwest has run it's course. So I went to Alliance and Leicester today and opened a premier direct current account. They will deal with all the change of dd's and salary etc. Plus if you know someone who has one, they can "recomend you" and you both get £50! So my dads a happy man too! They pay 6.1% on balances up to £2500. You need to put £500 a month into it though. Plus you get a free overdraft for 12 months and they claim to match your current banks limit.
    Hope this helps. C
