Who hates companies that steel from you using direct debit? Please help me

hi there everyone.

Can anyone shed any light on what to do when a mobile insurance company has been deducting insurance monthly DD from you for years and you didn't know?

Basically I've had no communication whatsoever from citymain administrators in ; years and they have deducted £5 a month from me for this time.

I had thought this was another insurance related to my mortgage and to my disgust I have recently found out it was insurance for a network 3 phone that has been cancelled for years. I emailed requesting a refund from citymain and they say they won't do it. Surely they can't do this and I deserve my £240 back.

Can anyone shed any light in this and help mr understand what I can fo to reclaim this ?

Thanks for reading. . . Any advice you may have will be great to hear.

Thankyou . Alan

Hi, do you have proof of cancelling it and how long ago was it set up by them?

    Meaning?

The poster was looking for some help and suggestions. I was trying to help and did not know I needed a degree to do that. We all make mistakes at times when typing and spelling/grammar/context etc. Don't you yourself?:D
  • Hi there . I cancelled the phone believing the insurance was cancelled with it. I have had no correspondence from the company in the 4 years since it was cancelled. Not even a letter. If I'd had I'd have informed them. I can prove I haven't had the phone contract for the 4 year period and have shown them this and they still won't pay. Surely, amongst us we must know a way round this as they've demonstrated poor customer service and no contact at all . . . Ya know ?

Any brain waves on how to reclaim folks.?
  • Contract set up 5 years ago. Run for 1 year only. I can prove this too . Insurance seemed to me to be bundled and be with 3 direct. Not city main . Admitedly I never fully read all terms as I was in my early 20s at the time but to be honest , we don't always . Do we ?

Ps . Excuse the typos, just hammering out the replys and posts in my iPhone .

    Best regards alan
