Heed my words - check that spam folder!

Just thought I'd share this advice based in a recent experience!

I won an eco beauty manual from Daisy Green Magazine but didn't notice the email as it had gone into my spam folder which I had not checked in over a week since the spam folder doesn't show up when checking my emails on my iPhone (incidentally, I had won the iPhone 6 weeks earlier in the Compeed instant win comp!). By the time I had checked the email, it was past the 7 days I had been given to reply to the email with my details!
I was rather gutted at first but then I reasoned that at least I learned this lesson from a relatively small win and will endeavour not to make this mistake again!
I know we compers tend to get a lot of spam and/or advertising emails from all the online competitions we enter, but take a minute to trawl through your spam every now and again just to make sure!

I second the advice. Had two WEMs land in my spam folder but luckily I spotted both! I double check through my spam emails now before deleting in case I miss a WEM.

Thanks for the advice....I already look at my junk mail....as I too have had wins land there....;)

I'm with Virgin and I check my mails through Windows Live/Explorer,

I've only just found out that if Virgin thinks mail is spam it goes to the spam folder on Virgins email and doesn't go through to Windows Live/Explorer at all

totally sucks,

now I make a point of logging onto Virgin to check for spam there and have found a few wems I would of missed *rolls eyes*

I had a wem last xmas for £1500 thomson vouchers go into my online spam folder, i only had 48hrs to respond with a few hours to go the lady kindly emailed with a diff header and called me to alert me I was gonna miss the deadline!!!

I nearly had kittens when i checked and saw it there, really thankful she called before she went home or I would have missed out xxx

I missed a win email that went to my spam folder.
Lucky that they re-emailed me today with one of those high priority things.
Or i would have lost out on £400 of speakers.

ALWAYS CHECK THE SPAM FOLDER!!!!!!

I too missed a great prize that went into my Virgin Account Spam Folder Grrrrrrr!

I missed seeing an intimate show by Scouting For Girls at a radio station - sooooooo gutted!!:mad:

Just do as I do and do a search for 'congratulations' in your hotmail which I think also searches your junk folder... I find most of my wins like that as I have thousands of emails. HTH
