Maternity Benefit & Redundancy

Hi
I am looking for a wee bit help or guidance! I am currently on maternity leave until next May but my employer is opening up a book for redundancy next month which I am considering as would reduce my mortage considerably so have a few questions which I hope someone can help with!
1. Would I get my maternity pay (company and statutory) on top of any package?
2. If I took redundancy and was then pregnant as a full time mum, would I be entitled to any government benefits?
3. Our income as a couple would be vastly reduced to my husbands salary of around £25k, would we be entitled to any type of tax credit or benefits?
4. My company are currently offering 4 weeks of salary for each year worked (I have worked 17 years) plus bonus plus company car allowance but are looking to reduce this to 2 weeks per year, do they have to have a consultation period for this?
5. If I was pregnant, while on maternity leave and also taking redundancy would I be entitled to a second lot of matenity benefits included in the package?
Any assistance or pointer would be appreciated!!!
