Mature student looking for insurance for gadgets

I'm starting uni in september and feel a little vulnerable carrying around a laptop / iPhone etc. If I lost my bag for example there could easily be over £1000 worth of stuff in it. Can anyone recommend a insurance policy for this type of cover??

as above. either way you can get contents policies that cover the items within your room/home with an extention to cover personal posessions items that you carry with you.
Standalone gadget cover is expensive compared to home contents arrangements.0 -
thanks for your replies. I'm at home with the family in rented accommadation. Never had contents insurance before so some recommendation would be good.0

The only one I know of personally is iprotect (That Martin mentions on this site under income insurance) who also do a gadget policy. May be worth a look, depends on what you're looking to insure; I don't think there's any limit to how many policies you can have if your stuff goes over the limits for one policy."A bank* is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain."
(*Unless it's Santander. The branch says they sent you an umbrella 3 times already and don't understand why you don't have it yet and want it back right now!!!)0
