Acer Aspire Netbook for a bit of a novice?

Is it a good laptop? I need it to play music on (Itunes), keep photos on and surf the web.

I've been offered one by a friend who has one boxed, used twice, for £150. It seems like a good deal but I really am quite clueless about technology! :o

£150 with no guarantee is not a good deal.

    Even £100 would be shaky.

Depending on the specification of the machine, I would offer them half of that, but that could hurt your friendship. :)

Here and here are examples of Netbooks at a similar price point, but fully guaranteed.

If you come back with the exact model number on the bottom of the Netbook, I can give you a more accurate appraisal.
