rms - Well done. I'm surprised they've done so well so far north in a border but it just goes to show that that you can grow them in our climate. I haven't grown them this year but last year I grew 6 plants on our patio and ended up with more aubergines than we could comfortably eat.

Not as surprised as I am. Mind you they may taste awful when we decide to try one.

Thanks for all the recipes Guys, we cook with aubergine quite a lot so we have a few of our own too.

rms1, i am astounded....after your post i went in the garden and checked my own aubergine plants and of the three plants i have, they each have 1 small aubergine growing! Can't believe it since most of the leaves have been munched and most the flowers have dropped off all the plants. Super chuffed!

p.s. i don;t have a green house..two of the plants are at bottom of garden outside and 1 is in my plastick upright growhouse thing.

I wasn't going to do any as any gardeners I have been talking to have all said that unless they are in a heated greenhouse you would be lucky to get more than 1 or 2 fruits.

Well i done 2 plants and got a couple of dozen off of them. Also still got quite a few small ones on them that I have left but dont think they will get much bigger now. I am in the south east btw
