thank you to everyone that gave me advice on finding a dog.
we now have a lab x because of his colour I have been struggling to get him to show on a pic but i've finally got one so here he is. his name is mikey chosen by my 2 year old boy.

    Oh god I remember that phase very well. Puppy dangling off the back of my dressing gown/trouser leg/whatever bit of clothing he could sink his little teeth into. Then finally get some hoovering done only to find that His Lordship had brought muddy paws onto my cream carpets :eek: It was like having a toddler around, I had to have eyes in the back of my head! Very tiring but a laugh a minute, you'll love having a puppy - he's a cutie!

    with having a toddler I'm used to toddlers lol and so far compared to my toddler the dog is a breeze very well behaved and doing well with toliet training. he seems to sleep alot at mo (wish my toddler would alittle)
